Diagnosis report session tomorrow- advice

Hi everyone,

my daughter is 9, she has had the assessment and i have been told on the phone that she is being diagnosed as autistic.

We have the follow up report meeting tomorrow and i was wondering if there are any specific questions i should be asking? Or if there is anything which i need to try and gain from the report?

Can anyone give me some advice?

Many thanks

  • Hello. My daughter is 8, she will be 9 in July and we have just been diagnosed this week too.

Although I knew she had an ASD it was still quite a shock when they told me. I couldn't think of anything to ask at the time. 2 Days later I'm still processing the information.

I hope someone will pop by and give you some advice. I didn't want to read and run.
