Do I pursue this?

hi,

a little unsure if my 9 yr old is midly somewhere on the spectrum.

As a toddler she used to flap her hands and shake her head quite viciously from side to side. She completely missed her walking / talking milestones and never slept.

She he is now 9 and still doesn't sleep. She has caught up a good while back with vocabulary etc - however is very descriptive yet literal and blunt at the same time. She struggles with friendships if there is more than one person especially. However she is very bright, especially maths.

Now she does this action when she is excited / nervous / concentrating where she puts her hands to the side of her nose and wiggles her fingers. Only for a second or to but j see it. She also wiggles her hips or rotates her hands in a circular motion.

Her ear teacher has noticed a difference between her and her peers and has broached the subject, not of asd as such if that makes sense.

Shhas as also never played with toys - no creative play always wanted to do academic stuff. Now her attentions have diverted to photography and oh my goodness she is talented.

most of the time you wouldn't notice anything but as her mum.......

Do i pursue it? Or leave it? Opinions please as I just don't know!
