Huh?

Back in January I was so keen to get an assessment. Just to find out. As the weeks went on, I thought it can't be. Surely it can't be. But I needed an answer. I couldn't wait to go through the NHS route, so I went for one of those "pre-assessment" things.

After two hours, I was told, we don't do diagnosis, but you have it. It's subtle, but you have Aspergers.

Moving between elation and confusion. I thought after a while, it can't be, it's stupid, it must be social anxiety or something. That's what they'll say. But nope. I have it.

What now. Are they sure? Did they just listen to what they want to listen to? Special interests? What? That's a special interest? I still don't think I believe it.
