I am new here and hoping to get some advice/clarity/support...
My son is 11 and has been diagnosed with ADHD and ODD about 2 years ago through CFCS an they asked me to do a questionnaire for ASD which they said he scores high, not high enough. Last year he was sent back to them again for behaviour deterioration and I am still waiting for the ASD questionnaire result.
His school have been less than helpful and I have gone through alot of stress trying to get him the support he needs. Fast forward to now, my son is currently in RIET (sent by his school because they cant manage his 'behaviour')
I have been saying to the SENCO/ED PSYCH that i think there is definitely something more with some of his behaviour but they havent listened and now being in RIET, they have said they believe my son is on the spectrum (they feel its Aspergers) and that I need to be pushing for assessments. I don't know who I need to ask.
This is where I am stuck. The GP sent another request to CFCS and this hasnt done anything. I am struggling to manage at home with the more challenging behaviour. He has been stuck in RIET now for more than 6 weeks and it is having a negative impact on him.
Can anyone help me?
