Who's into fiction? Computer games? Sci-fi stuff?

I'm wondering why it is that one AS trait is supposedly that we prefer factual books to fictional, yet it seems pretty common for AS folk to be into computer games and, from what I've seen on Wrong Planet and to a lesser extent, this forum, Dr Who, Star Wars kind of sci-fi stuff.

I can't see the point in computer games, I dislike almost (but not quite - Bladerunner and Donnie Darko excepted) all sc-fi films & TV, and I do prefer factual books to fictional.

It seems a little ingongruent, to me, to dislike fiction yet like the utter fiction of computer games and sci-fi (it's what the 'fi' stands for after all!).

This is a very unimportant question so I won;t mind if there are no responses - I just find these things interesting.

  • Hi I love sci-fi.Started with Star Trek the original series. On Mondays 7.25pm.Think my first crush was William Shatner!!Captain Kirk.I enjoyed Babylon5,Farscape,Star Trek subsequent series and Star Wars. Not sure it's an aspie thing as such as neurotypical hubby likes sci-fi too.

As for computer games I remember loving Rayman and Tomb Raider but not into them now.
