Im not sure where to begin or how to help our son in school. He has been showing traits since 2 and hopefully we are in the middle of being accessed for Autism.
His nursery have filled out some paperwork and sent it back over a month ago and not heard anything about it yet.
We have discussed with hi school that he is being accessed for Autism but they are not being very helpful with his current behaviour problems.
He is getting increasingly worse with lashing out (biting, hitting etc) his teacher thinks "there is nothing wrong with him" she "cant see any signs of autism or ADHD" NOT THAT WE ARE ASKING HER TO DIAGNOSE HIM!!!
He is constantly being punished for bad behaviour which we expect but this morning a boy hit him and he hit back. Our son is being punshed but because the other child is crying he gets cuddles etc. I think because our child doesnt cry when he is hurt then alot of the time he is reacting to other children hurting him.
I am really angry/upset with how school are dealing with things.
Anyone else in similar situation and know how to speed things up with assessment?
