My son is going through the asessment process and through this I have realised that I am probably Autistic too.
After visiting my GP and asking for a referral for Autism assessment I have got an appointment with a CPN (community psychiatric nurse) next Tuesday at my doctors. I really don't know what to expect and am very nervous about it.
Has anyone else got any idea of what she is going to ask me.
My biggest worry is that she/he doesn't know much about Autism and is not going to believe me because I have become quite good at looking 'normal'. Even though inside I feel very uncomfortable during interactions. the eye contact, knowing what to say, trying not to zone out why they are talking etc etc etc.
