I need advice on my 17 yr old son,il try and keep it short,when he was a baby he had very delayed speech,started school,couldnt hold a pencil or write but got theyr in the end,P2 he still wasnt making any progress,could memorize words but didnt know what they meant,when he was reading it was just the words on the page,educational physologist was called in,i was told specific learning difficulty,that was it,i asked at the time was he dyslexic as my daughter was,i was told again SLD,got SEN help once a week for reading,attended speech therapy,he went threw the rest of his schooling struggling but getting by as i thought,in the last few years i have noticed clicking of his fingers continually,does not leave the house,spends most of his time in his room,can remember dates is obsessed with football,names,teams,how much they were bought for things like that,he is now in tech he got assesed again by educational physologist,he is not dyslexic,just said on the report his vocabulary was well below average 75 on the scale,reading and understanding of words was the same,im now in limbo i dont know what is wrong and i dont know were to start,He has no social skills at all,comes of with random sentences that know one knows what he is talking about,can anyone share any light on the matter please..
