Autism Dissertation

Hello, I'm Sophie and I'm doing my dissertation on Autism. My topic is 'An assessment on Autistic behaviours from a neurological perspective.' 

I have a list of questions which would be a huge help if anyone would be willing to take the time to answer them.  

I have 2 lists of questions, one for parents of autistic children, and another for professionals in the area.

    I must get boring repeating these messages every time a dissertation project surfaces. This forum is a safe place for people to seek help from others. It is quite inappropriate, and undermines the safety, if students try to use the site as a quarry for research projects.

    But there are deeper issues. You need to be able to guarantee effective disposal of data collected. Even using a reference code or a false name, information in quotes could disclose personal information or information about a service. Data from undergraduate dissertations is often not very effectively disposed of.

    Also to be effective you need to have some control over who you interview and the groupings and contexts of those you interview. Getting people off a discussion forum to respond gives you minimum control over the data gathered.

    Dissertation tutors should give out clear guidance on research ethics. Some universities or departments within universities seem rather reluctant to uphold the standards. But that damages the credibility of other, more fastidious universities.

    It isn't fair to breeze onto a safe site like this demanding people help you with your dissertation. The whole point of a dissertation is for you to develop properly conducted research skills. Doing it this way isn't good form.
