If you take your time and try to deal with it as a puzzle that you might do for fun and try to avoid thinking that it is an ordeal that is just being done to torture you then it is likely to turn out better. There is no point worrying about it because worrying about things doesn't help.

A lot of people with ASD get overwhelmed and confused by the chatter and noise that happens in situations where there are several people talking at once. Did you find school hard? Do you find it easier to deal with one person at a time in a quiet space where no-one else is interrupting and distracting you?

  • Thanks looked at that didnt understand too well with the questions to be honest struggle when it comes to understand certain words

IQ tests are designed to see how good you are at

    a) understanding verbal information

    b) numerical problems,

    c) identifying patterns in pictures and diagrams

Autism can get in the way of learning skills and in the way of telling people what you know. IQ may suffer as a result.

They might want to see if your IQ improves with treatment and help for your problems.

If you want to see the format of the tests then there are books such as "Test and assess your IQ"

See www.amazon.co.uk/.../074945234X If you use Amazon's "Look Inside" facility you can see the first few pages of tests there.
