I've (almost) survived a holiday thanks to here! 

Don't get me wrong, for the most part I like being away with the family and I'm grateful for the break, but with so many changes (and therefore challenges) I've found respite and learning here really helpful.

I think the NAS forum might be my holiday crutch - while I'm in and out of posting here, when I feel at my most autistic/in need it's really helpful to get the experiences and learning of others with varying degrees of the same condition. 

So thanks. Thanks for being here, thanks for the advice and insights and thanks for getting me through with only the couple of blow ups! We'll forget about that one meal and focus on all the others!

    I haven’t been on an overnight (or any) flight since I got my NIV (non-invasive ventilator, for those not in the sleep apnoea treatment club). I’m curious to know why you won’t have access to it.

    There’s a guide here that might be useful. I found it when I was learning about the rules, despite not having any flights planned yet! Some airlines allow seat power, others require a battery, others don’t allow it at all (or no info was available):

    Airline policy in this case - I was surprised to find they are discriminatory, but expect it is to do with not being able to guarantee access to a 240v plug. I could have used a power bank (under airline regs) but that would have involved buying a portable cpap... I had a quick look and couldn't see a mains outlet in the front seats where they usually are. 

    This flight was short haul - for anything long I'll do my research on airline policy prior to flying.
