Mental health service

Hello are you able to open up to how our mh is? As since March I've been getting mh help through a service its coming to an end but I dont feel ive benefited from the support

  • If they don't understand autism then it's not surprising you don't feel able to open up. Sadly I think this is quite a common experience, mental health people often don't see autism as a mental health problem, which it isn't, but it does impact on your mental health. Autism seems to fall between the stools of mental health and education/learning disabilities with nobody really taking any responsibility, especially when you're out of full time education. Are there any autism support groups in your area?
