melatonin - time release for 3 year old ?????

Hi,

My little man has been on regular melatonin for over a year now for some serious sleep issues.

Since having it he now falls to sleep without to many issues so long as routine is strict. However he still regularly wakes through the night to eat (another big issues.. Food)

Anyway I have heard of the 'time release' melatonin and wondered if anyone children take it as our pead won't perscribe the time release one but does the regular. Says he is not licenced for it?????

Thought about getting it myself?  Thought I'd seek info first.

Sorry to ramble.

it sounds as though you need some help in taking charge of your son. have you been on one of the courses for parents of autistic children?

a 3 year old shouldn't be choosing to graze through the night. what happens if you say no?

have you blacked out his room with blackout curtains? I can't sleep unless the room is completely blacked out - we, on the spectrum, are extra sensitive to light.
