My son has finally after a ten year battle got a diagnosis of ASD. He's 13 now. I thought I'd be prepared for this as it's what I do as a teaching job but I feel hopelessly lost! What do I do now to get the right support for him. I've been told to apply for a DLA but the form looks scary, also have to prepare for a multi agency review at his school. Arrrr help would be gratefully received ...thanks

  • Thanks for your calming words... he does need extra help at school as they kept excluding him for what they said was his behaviour, I knew it wasn't he just didn't cope, his CAMHS worker has mentioned a special school but I don't think that's the best route for him..I know time for a deep breath and do what's best for him...
