Happy World Autism Acceptance Month!

I was reading my copy of 'Your Autism' today and there was an article about April being World Autism Acceptance Month (WAAM).

I think it's really good that there is a whole month to help improve public awareness, acceptance and inclusion around the world. The NAS has some good resources for WAAM.

I am hoping to encourage and help some of the allistic people I know learn a bit more about autism and autistic life during the month. I will also be refining my self-acceptance...

I'd love to know what thoughts you have about WAAM and any plans you might have for the month. Hopefully we can encourage and inspire each other! Grinning

  • Happy WAAM I’m going to spend the month being my true unmasked self, I’m going to stim freely, accommodate to my needs and be who I’ve always meant to be, I’ve made a fidget bag and will be attending my 2nd colour spectrum walk with my son and his dad
