Extreem fizzyness/overwhelm

  1. I wonder if anyone has found a way to manage that volcano wanting to errupt feeling. I understand that my nervous system is very overloaded but I cant work out how to release it. As a younger person I would have self medicated in unhealthy and unsafe ways, but as a carer this isn't appropriate. Its extreem and I need it to stop in order to function.

  • Yeah I know this feeling too.

I don’t feel as bad about having it since my Autism diagnosis.

What I try to do is take a few deep breaths and step away from whatever is causing the eruption, if possible.

Ive found that trying to push through like I used to makes the situation worse, taking a few minutes away and coming back is like looking through a different lens sometimes for me and the task is much more achievable.
