cant speak to gp

i am going to the drs to see if i have autism im 100 percent sure i have it but i find it hard to comunicate with my dr i have already been three times to ask about it and try and get diagnosed but all those times i have been i end up talking about something else a different reason than the one that i was there for in the first place can someone give me an example of what to say to the dr when i get there

  • Hi yecats.  Obvious question 1st of all :  can you take someone with you to the Drs who can help to explain, if necessary, that you want to get assessed?  If not, have you thought about filling in 1 of the online autism tests + taking it with you to show him/her? Or maybe you could type something on to a sheet of paper + hand it to the Dr to explain you want a diagnosis but find it difficult to say so?  You could print your post of today's date off + take it with you. Smile
