PIP Question

Has anyone applied for pip and been refused, to find things discussed by the assessor were left out of their decision?  I am just wondering if automatic refusal is the norm for anyone. Do they not recognise sensory disability or autism as a disability at all?

  • I will elaborate why I am applying for PIP this time and why I don't really care about the outcome. 

    I'm on universal credit and since my rent was increased again this May,  my universal credit doesn't cover my actual rent.  So I applied for a discretionary housing payment from my local council, they turned me down, so I applied again.  I succeeded on my second attempt, they agreed to pay me  a DHP for six months and suggested that I apply for both PIP and the limited capability for work component of UC.  Since I applied for PIP six years ago and got zero points, this time I applied for the limited capability for work component.   I made a complete mess of the UC LCWRA assessment.   So I decided to re-apply for PIP.  Soon after I sent of my completed PIP I received the message that I was successful in my LCWRA application and I would be getting extra money.  So I didn't need to apply for PIP after all.
