I think because I sat in my room for 4 days, I had the energy and mental capacity later in the week to have less pressure on myself and better brain function.
So in the past two weeks I have started being on my own and not putting any pressure on myself to talk to anyone, go to sleep or do anything. So I am fully recharged. I noticed I have loads of energy the next day even if I have little sleep. Last week I did it, I went to see my personal trainer in the late morning, then I went to wheelchair rugby training, then I had a hard session with my therapist on Wednesday, then after session with my personal trainer on Thursday. I had a wheelchair rugby tournament at the weekend, so I had to get everything prepared for that on Friday and its stressful to be around people/play in matches, so I didn't sleep much for 4 days. I also tried to change my sleeping pattern to sleeping in the day time/being awake at night, but that doesn't work. (I have light sensitivity). However when I get down to the Premier inn I am okay, I have to go to the beefeater to have a meal with the team and see the new people coming to play. I say basically nothing, eat my food and leave. (They know I am autistic). But I get into bed that night and I am totally relaxed for the first time in two months. I didn't sleep great, but I felt fine and I had the energy in the matches too. I really enjoyed it.
I am going through a massive psychological transition too. But I think the 4 day recharge is a massive positive thing for me. I just need to make sure I wash properly, sleep when I need to and understand that it will work.
