Did any one listen to the Radio 4 Programme on Autism June 29th?
I do not know if you can still listen to it on your computers.
I listened to part of it.
The interesting part was that in France as recently as 2010:
They told the Parents that we do not accept that the parents are not to blame for the Child's Autism and ordered them to have family therapy. They also denied them extra state benefits for having an Autistic child.
My Opinion:
About Fifty years ago they believed it is entirely Family and life which makes us what we are. Now they believe it is entirely genetic. I think it is also life and family which make us what we are. It is alright to tell a grown up that up bringing has nothing to do with Autism as nothing can be done but for children improving up bringing can make Autistic symptoms less serivous.
