So like all sides of autism I think autistic joy has pros and cons here show I see it
pros
flappy hands
excitment
a drive to work on that interest
some people embrace the exictmebt(like ex wirk friend who ever time she sees me dsy in an excited voice ohhh you look happy been listening to Tay Tay? Or something similar)
its a life long joy and just one phrase or word can make you smile when your feeling so down
it’s unapologetic joy
cons
some people think it’s weird
your moraine knltnwants to talk about that thing that brings joy
you have to take time away from that thing to avoid burning out on it sometimes
if you no longer see a person who you shared that with(like my ex conworker) it makes you so incredibly sad
