My son had his ADOS assessment today, two different women tested and scored as one knew my son and wanted a second opinion from someone never having met him before, which i felt was thorough.
All his difficulties showed but mainly communication and eye contact, his final score was 13 cut off for ADS was 9 so it scored Autism.
Apparantly score sheets now go off to another doctor to look at and assess again with some questionaires from us, does anyone know the score system for ADOS 2.
What is the top score? Apparently he rated so highly due to lack of communication and eye contact. Our seven year old is home schooled so alot of his traits are less obvious at home as less anxious, so as always a bit of a shocker to see him struggle so in the assessment, his Dad was really surprised.
Surprised the test does not take sensitivities into account? Does anyone know the reason for this?
Thanks
