Quirks or Stimming

Hi,

I posted here many moons ago raising concerns about my son and fighting for a referal. Long story short at the second review appointment a different peadiatrician saw what we did and put him on the asd pathway for diagnosis. The school are still refusing to believe us and refused to bring in the ed psych but the dr has done it his end so we are finally on the path to finding out whats going on.

We have been given questionaires to fill in and I wanted to point out some of the quirks he has but im not sure if he does it to the extreme to make it relevent. For instance he is a kiss and cuddle-aholic he also likes to rub his face on me and family, loves stroking, massage etc. That can get extreme at points but he does other things less frequently like throat clearing, making strange noices, tutting etc. If he discovers something he runs with it and then stops until he moves on to the next thing. He mumbles/talks to himself alot especially when trying not to go to the loo lol Ive noticed he does it when more stressed and he fiddles with his hair too. Also when playing with trains or cars he tends to lie on the floor and slide along it keeping his head close to it and squinting (his eyes are fine). He doesnt hand flap or spin the things you would typically expect.

I am wondering whether I am reading too much into it and hes just a bit quirky or should I list everything he does no matter how irrelevent I think it is?

Thanks in advance :)
