My mum has proposed to take me down to London to see one of my favourite musicals: Evita, which is due to be playing at the London Palladium, but I’m kinda reluctant.
Truth is, though the show maybe the focal point for the trip, the social and sensory aspects are the major issues around it, as in my experience as an audience member is pretty traumatic (and I’ve got the PTSD to match), cuz I’ve suffer quite the ableism from Front of House who have proven lack of autism awareness and acceptance training from theatres, and more so recently from train stations and train companies themselves, that contributed quite the hostile atmosphere of almost attempting a suicide attempt, that was at Haymarket in Edinburgh.
Like many of us Autism Awareness and Validation Training is PARAMOUNT to our safety, and if mum were to pull off this trip, we are needing guidance to navigate accommodation as close as possible to the palladium, that’s wheelchair accessible, as well as an autistic safe space, and if anyone has attended the palladium lately, any testimonials would help, maybe perhaps anyone who works at the palladium would also be advantageous?
I’d also like to visit Vivienne Westwood’s flagship store and take mum to her fave store Fortum and Mason.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
loves.
