Medication

Hi, I know this might sound silly but I have to take this medicine due to an infection that I have. No matter how hard I try I can't swallow the medicine because I hate the taste of it and makes me gag and spit it back up.

I know it's important to take this but I just can't seem to do it

Any advice?

  • I suggest contacting your pharmacist and/or GP for support, as we’re not allowed to offer medical advice here.

There might, for example, be a different form of the medication that they can offer instead.

In the meantime, I’ll just flag the NHS’s advice, which includes:

”do not crush pills, open capsules or alter your medicine without getting medical advice – this could stop the medicine working properly”
