Hi all, I am the mother of a newly diagnosed 8 year old boy. Where do I go from here, where do I start? I have been into school and spoken to the SENCO, who will get the ball rolling in school, and be setting things in place. I guess I just wondered what else I should be doing? I had so much information thrown at me the other week, that it took me a day or two to get over the shock. I was shocked even though I was half expecting the diagnosis. My boy has always been very different to other kids his age, but part of me was still shocked to learn just how different. I had no idea his world was quite so confusing, but I'm so proud of him 
Any advice?
ETA he is high functioning ASD
