Cosmetic sugery, when carried out by a reputable qualified doctor, is usually very safe. No surgery is without risk but a lot of the horror stories are people going over seas for cheap sugery or getting non surgical procdures from unlicenced therapists.
It's been my observation that most depresed people who call theselves unatractive typically underestimate their own atractivness. Never the less I can't rule out that he might be a modern day elphant man or quasimodo. For all I know he has a 3rd ear growing in the middle of his forhead. My point is even if that were so there is reasion for hope. Phyical looks are not set in stone.
Would you rather have a sensative comment or a useful one? I know which I prefer.
Peter, Although I have never considered myself to be stunningly attractive, the comment you have made in response to Anomynous would most-likely cause me to feel even worse about myself. I'm sorry, but I feel it was a thoroughly insensitive thing for you to have said.
I look like Chris Packham I often get mistaken for him
I've never really liked the way I look, I'll avoid being photographed if at all possible.
The weirdo bit is a bit more complicated, I don't really have a fixed personality it really depends on what I'm doing or who I'm with.
I like quirky unusual things so does that make me weird?
Attractiveness is subjective, for example when I first saw Chris Packham on TV I thought he was attractive, but a friend of mine described him as "weird". (sorry Chris, if you're reading this)
I know that modern life focusses a lot on appearance, but you don't have to conform. I don't choose friends based on their looks or whether anyone else thinks they are "weird" - I want to spend time with people who share my interests and values, and can hopefully help me learn new things.
