charges for accessing sons slt reports

Hi all,

I have a four year old son who is due to have his autism assessment next week.

I have also applied for dla as we have an awful time with his sleep, or rather lack of! He has been receiving slt for over a year now and I have never had a report of his progress or identified difficulties. I asked today for a copy of his report and was told I have to pay 30 pounds and apply formally to the health trust. I am in Northern Ireland. I am just wondering how you guys all seem to have copies of reports etc, did you have to pay or were you able to access them for free?

Parents
  • Clarify in writing that it is not a request to access his health records.  State that you understand it to be normal practice for parents to be sent a copy of their own child's assessment results and you have never been sent anything, that you imagine this to be an accidental omission and you request that they remedy this.
