Private assessment

Hi there - I just wanted to let people know of my experience - four of my family have been diagnosed with Aspergers - 2 live in Chesterfield and 2 in Hull - they all have been allocated PIP in varying degrees -My sister paid for my assessment, as I had been and still am waiting for the date off assessment on the NHS, ( we are curious about how much longer I would wait so still on list and hope I can persuade them to let my daughter use my place) and I am now in the process of going for my assessment for PIP on 18 th Feb -  I am also entitled now to have a needs assessment which I have applied for - it seems this is an entirely different benefit completely and is a budget to help you get the most out if your life - my niece gets it - so it is not always true that the government and council ignores a private diagnosis - I just wanted to share this with you all - Sylvia
