The undernoted has caused considerable concern for the elderly, which is relevant here for older people with autism/asperger's.
But the implications affect other vulnerable groups, and the same logic could impact on people with autism.

The crucial quote from this is "vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, may lose out because they do not contribute as much to society as younger people"
New medicines would only be licensed for the NHS "if they help those judged to be a benefit to wider society".
This could be read as saying if you have a disability that reduces your contribution to wider society, you may lose out on drugs for cancer and such-like.
This appears to have come from NICE but with Department of Health endorsement.
Its just another sign of the increasing move towards the Nazi-like thinking of the 1930s and 40s.
