Need feedback about what to do

Well to put it in a simple way, i like to go by on my routine, i can't understand facial expressions very well, i don't understand social situations very well on jokes and people have pointed out my emotionlessness and one or two have asked if i have autism or something and i am really curious to find out why i'm like this so i was wandering if this fits the criteria of autism and what to do to get a real diagnosis

Cool, thanks,

PanderaFlame

  • Hi PanderaFlame,

Just wanted to highlight that, unfortunately, the Community rules as they stand at the moment mean that people have to be 16 to use the service. We're happy for you to respond to this discussion, if other people reply, but we have to ask you to wait until your 16 before continuning to use the Community.

It's a real frustration but is part of the rules that we can't make exceptions for.

I wish I could direct you to other services that focus on young adults on the spectrum, or who think they may be, but I'm afraid there isn't a great deal available (though if other people know of any suggestions please let us know).

The US based autism community, Wrong Planet, has an area for younger users, you might find it helpful to ask the same question there and see what similar experiences users have had.

As Zoe has suggested it may be best to call the Autism helpline. I can that can seem like a big step but they'll be able to help explain your options and how your age may affect the service.

You can call them for free on 0808 800 4104 or if you'd prefer get in touch online you can use the enquiry form on this page -

I really hope that helps and sorry about the age problem, as I mentioned, it's not something we can make exceptions for.
