Smells

Hello,

I’m extremely sensitive to smell and I’m struggling a lot with taking Ubers that smell quite bad. It’s not often that the Ubers smell bad and I know from travelling with others that it’s sometimes just me and they don’t smell so bad, but it really makes me feel quite nauseous and I was almost sick today.

I’m looking for something that always smells nice that I could fit in my handbag and bring out to smell in these situations. It would need to be quite small and discrete as I don’t want to end up offending the drivers. Everything I can think of would be too big, too strong of a smell to hold close to my face or would need regularly changing/refreshing to keep the smell. I also live abroad part of the year so it would need to be something fairly common and not specific to the UK.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you!

  • I love the smell of lavender. You may be able to get a lavender bag, but they do need topping up after a while. If you know someone who hasn't cut their bush yet it would be possible to make your own from an odd bit of material. I would think shops like National Trust may sell them. You might even find them at a Christmas Bazaar if you can cope with the smells and busyness or maybe an outdoor one.
