Musical Theatre!

Isn't it! I saw it when I was 17 in London, an amazing production and experience. Hoping to see it again at some point, believe its showing in Edinburgh this December so who knows!

I have such a preference for the second one! The songs in that one are my favourite!

It would be good if there was a way you could attend without the underground! It sounds stressful!

Wicked is amazing, I saw it when I was young!

Ahh The Lion King is so visually stimulating, I do love it, I've seen it twice!

I've been to several musicals and find that my sensory difficulties disappear quite a lot but then I have like a week of recovery after  

The recorded ones are so fun to watch on repeat!

They've all got some ironically amusing moments, but looking back the plots feel rather disjointed! 

I think the first has the best songs for me overall. 

Definitely the first. 3 will always have a special place in my heart because of someone yelling at Troy in the cinema hilariously though. 

I love the High School Musicals. Which is your favourite? I love them all but find I watch the second more.

I went with my parents to see The Lion King musical. I found it an enjoyable experience but I got overwhelmed because of how many people there were, so that did ruin it a bit for me. I like musicals though. They are fun, it's a cool thing to watch and be part of.

I found it interesting that we never had a successful British equivalent but I guess that's not our culture!

Oh I loved high school musical and camp rock! 

Going to see anything live is a lot to deal with. There’s so much sensory overload. However if you do find a way to manage it I’d definitely recommend it. I know some theatres in London are doing autism friendly shows, something to look out for. I find just being in London stressful and a lot to manage but I literally just got a taxi directly from the station to the theatre which was easier to manage. 
I would add though that the version on Disney plus is sooo good as a comparison. It feels a very similar vibe to the actual show. So if getting to the the theatre is not possible, that version is a very good close second! 

Not particularly obsessed with musicals but always have a great time when watching. My top three changes a lot but at the moment I'd probably say 

1.Rocky horror picture show

2.Singing in the rain 

3.Wicked

I would go to the theatre more but don’t really like using the London Underground. My wife used to go a lot with her mother. She saw. Yul Brynner in The King and I,  Michael Crawford in Barnum and The Phantom. Her favourite was Les Misérables.

I did drive into London twice and saw Buddy and The Jersey boys. I live near an Underground station but haven’t used the train since before covid.

I hope to see it live one day!

Oooh I love Hamilton. It was so good! Love watching it on Disney plus too!

I've also been tagged with agoraphobia. I was okay when things were going, but the rest of the time was rough. Before, when everyone is talking and milling around it was so so much I had to be ill in a bin, but it was okay when the lights went down and people quieted down.

I hope you feel better with that whole thing. There's always time and hope for us to recover. 

Ahh you can find Heathers the Musical pro-shot on Amazon Prime, it's so good! Hamilton is on Disney+ also.

I get you about the crowded spaces, I used to find it so easy because I'd get lost in the music but I'm actually agoraphobic now so it's not possible unfortunately!
