Hi everyone
I saw a documentary on the MagellanTV channel about sleep problems this evening. It is particularly relevant to me atm as I have an appointment at the beginning of October with a sleep clinic and I want to be fully informed prior to the consultation. I’m coming from the position of nightmares, sleep paralysis and hallucinations at the wake/sleep and sleep/wake boundaries, which are the issues I wanted them to address. However the clinic have done blood tests and an overnight WatchPat test and have already concluded that I exhibit simple moderate sleep apnea (without the promised face to face consultation) and are expecting to “set up” a CPAP device on me - I will not be allowing them to do this. They haven’t taken on board my autism and the extreme sensory sensitivity I have which will make the use of this device impossible let alone considering the impact of trauma and fibromyalgia.
So researching alternatives including the documentary I mentioned I have become aware of the Fisher Wallace Stimulation Device. Reports and reviews are contradictory and some openly admit that there are no research results without a biased funder, ie: Fisher Wallace want to prove it works and big pharma want to prove it doesn’t ($s in each case), however it is clear that for some individuals it is an absolute game changer. So I’m wondering if any of you have any personal experience of this device?
TIA
Emma
