My favourite is horses. I started horse riding when I was little and now I feel a special connection with them. I get on better with horses than people TBH. Horses are my special interest so is art. One of my favourite artists is Leonardo da Vinci who believe it or not liked to draw horses when he wasn't painting the Mona Lisa
I am sorry about your horse Faye. Although I don't currently own any pets, I completely understand that the bond that forms between a pet and its owner can be incredibly strong indeed. I think it is also true that strong bonds can exist with pets that aren't our own.
When I was born, my one set of grandparents had a long-haired dachshund that I adored. He died when I was about 7 years old, but I have many fond memories of him. Perhaps because of the bond I felt I had with that dog, I have always had a soft spot for dachshunds.
I have an aunt and cousins who have owned various rescue dogs. Some I have taken to and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with, but there have been others that I haven't felt the same sense of connection with.
Although I'm not much of a cat person, my neighbour used to have one that I became rather fond of. If my back door was open, he would wander in and sit on my stairs, or else have a bit of a mooch around upstairs. I think the cat looked upon my house as somewhere he could escape to, to get away from my neighbour's other cat that seemed to torment him.
That's cute. I like how it looks like it's smiling at you. I've not seen any dolphins in person before but I agree people shouldn't ride them, I expect it's uncomfortable for the dolphins as well.
For me I think it’s dolphins, they are just so clever and friendly. I don’t like seeing tourists riding on the backs of them, they aren’t play things. I took this on a boat trip, it’s a Bottle Nose.
I want to get another horse. I still ride, but they aren’t my horses, my horse passed away after an infection that she couldn’t get over. My horse was called Faye and I thought of her as a best friend. My sister said that’s sad, I thought it was special personally. I get on more better with animals than people. I find people complicated, they confuse me but with animals I feel a natural bond. I want another horse but since losing Faye I worry that I’ll never get over my sadness if anything happens to it so for now I’m not getting another. I still feel sad that Faye’s gone. We did a lot together, including two racing shows, came fifth in the first but second in the second. Proud moment for me, it showed how much I had improved after my suicide and breakdown.
Do you have a favourite type of dog?
I like German Shepherds. My uncle Terry has one called Pru. She's absolutely massive and looks scary as hell but is actually the friendliest dog you'll ever meet.
I saw a grey wolves centre when I went abroad, they look even more impressive, and graceful in person.
Geese ^^
I have a cousin who would most certainly relate to your love for horses.
As for me, I seem to be a sucker for animals that I perceive to be cute and/or cuddly. Dogs have always tended to feature at the top of my list though, although there are some breeds/cross-breeds I seem to favour more than others.
My sketch book is now full..
You're the Best!
Penguins are my favorite animal.
Not my best, but hey-ho..
I kinda love most animals. Like if I watch Planet Earth or Blue Planet or something I'll think basically everything is the most amazing beautiful thing I've ever seen. And I have to restrain myself from saying hello to every animal in real life.
Seals..
Intelligent, Curious, Solitary...
I love to see them!
Haha doodles the most underrated art style of them all. I'll look out my sketchbooks tomorrow
I’d love to see that..
I love looking at doodles, they get about as abstract and original as you can imagine, especially the tag team doodles..
Mine are stick man level, I'm not in your league just yet
Thanks man, everybody’s got a few wolves their sketch-pad, you just made a brain cell fire..
