Hyperacusis and MRI scans

A few years ago, I had to have a brain scan, which then had to be repeated some months later; as no-one could work out what was wrong. (all they could say is that I had something which shouldn't be there)

That was beefore I developed Hyperacusis and it was bad enough in terms of noise then.

I've now been referred for another MRI scan because it feels as though there's too much pressure in my head, which I assume is related to the brain condition I have.

Anyone got any advice please?

  • Not heard of it.

As I understand it, I have arachnoid cysts, which is something to do with the membrane and spinal fluid. They're meant to be symptomless, according to my doctors notes. (my former consultant wrote to my GP and told him this) But everyone I know with the condition, claims otherwise.

I've had someone tell me not to have the scan. Something I have no choice over, having spent the last 6 weeks - 2 months pretty much in pain everyday.
