Hyperacusis and MRI scans

A few years ago, I had to have a brain scan, which then had to be repeated some months later; as no-one could work out what was wrong. (all they could say is that I had something which shouldn't be there)

That was beefore I developed Hyperacusis and it was bad enough in terms of noise then.

I've now been referred for another MRI scan because it feels as though there's too much pressure in my head, which I assume is related to the brain condition I have.

Anyone got any advice please?

  • Is it going to be an MRI or an fMRI?

Incidentally, I have hyperacusis, and I recently had a qEEG, which I got the results of today.  One of the things it showed is that I have excess beta wave brain activity and excess slow wave activity which affects arousal (presumably this means reactions to things so is perhaps involved in sensory experiences.
