I love early mornings - do you?

Morning all!

I was very excited to wake up naturally at 5.22am this morning. I love the peace and quiet of an early morning. The birds are also chirping (quite enthusiastically) in the garden.

I always find that by the time I've done a full day at work my energy is depleted so mornings are the blissful free time I have free from any pressures before I have to go about the mandatory aspects of my day.

Today, I've done my usual morning routine and now I think I'm going to do some Japanese studies with a coffee.

I get a little grouchy if I don't get any time to myself in the mornings before work.

Mornings turn out to be a very good indicator of my wellbeing. If I'm not waking up early enough to have me time before work on several occasions, that's general indicator that I'm feeling very stressed.

Does anyone else have a similar love for the mornings?  How do you use yours?

  • I love early mornings, but I very much dislike leaving bed and have trouble falling asleep. Mornings are beautiful, the light, the air, the lack of noise. Being awake around 4 in summers is the best. But if I don't have to get up early there's no way I'll force myself out of bed, it's too good to sleep, or if I can't return to sleep I'll just lay there enjoying not having to use an muscles. And falling asleep early isn't something I'm good on either. I'd probably prefer to be awake during the night and sleep in the day when it's too bright and noisy anyway, sadly it's not possible in this world.
