so what's it like getting a dx in the UK?

So my 3 year old DD was dx through the US Army medical system back in November. All we had to do was meet with a developmental pediatrician and fill in a questionnaire, and then she had to do the ADOS test under the watch of a child psychologist, speech therapist and a EDIS specialist. The test took about 20 - 30 mins, it was the only time they'd ever met my DD. Right after that, we received a dx for my DD of asd.

It seems that in the UK the process is much more in depth and on-going. I'd love to know what it involved and how long it took. We are thinking of moving to England and I'm unsure as to whether we'd have to get her another dx when we get there.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ellie
