Advice on storing food

I'm looking for some advice on how to support someone who struggles to engage with the food in their fridge/freezer/cupboards because as soon as they open the doors, the sight of so many things of different shapes, sizes and colours immediately makes him close the door. Food is going to waste and I wondered if anyone had any advice, tips on things that might help? Thanks very much

  • I sort my meals into boxes labeled with the day of the week on it. I'm not sure if that will help because you still have the boxes to look at but not all the colors and items individually and what you need for the meal is in the box. That is only for the fridge though the cupboards are sorted by type of foods and again labeled so both my husband and I can clearly see what it is, He still has to ask at times as its my system not his lol but it works for us well enough. ((And yes, I did use simple like containers in the cupboards, I learned years ago if its too hard to close it will never get put on right by the family))
