Assessment Wait Times

Hello, 

I’m new here! 

I had an appointment with my GP last week and she agreed to refer me for an ASD assessment. I was wondering how long people have had to wait for an assessment? I like in Kent if that makes any difference for wait times. The doctor said it would be quite a while but she didn’t specify rough time frames and I have no idea who to ask.

  • I’d have a similar question about a post-diagnostic adult assessment in order to identify the level and type of support going forward in all areas since my online diagnosis in 2021 - would this be easier to obtain from an adult autism charity, paid or otherwise public or private? In any emails sent to autism charities, I always attach a copy of my full diagnosis report along with a copy of my CV when seeking any support
