What helpful home adaptions/modifications have you done?

I've just bought a 2.5 L tin of 'Forest Green' paint to do some of the walls in my new house as literally every wall in every room is bright white and it's causing sensory overload. Green is a very restful colour and my favourite colour too

I've also bought an anti-glare screen for my laptop because i've noticed over the last 3 or 4 months that i'm having to spend less and less time on it because it's hurting my eyes/head

Lastly...i've bought some headphones to cancel out other house noises like my fridge, cars/people passing by outside etc as i get bombarded by these all at once

Are there any other things that will help that i've not thought of?

  • I have no ornaments in the house, I just find them pointless. One room has a painting on a wall, it’s the Ponte Vecchio over the river Arno. It’s calming and my favourite place. The house has blinds on every window. Biggest mistake was fitting sunken LED light down the stairs, now use the stairs with no lights on. My noise cancelling earphones are my best ever purchase.
