I've noticed for quite a while that there is real discontent by the lack of provision from NAS and like.

I thought this charity I have come across, based in Northampton, may be useful for someone on here. It is also looking from around the end of this year to start offering an adults' diagnostic serivce provided by an experianced GP

They also offer other services (e.g. counsellors) and family services etc.

 

I know this won't solve everything but hope it goes some way to help someone in need.

    By the way, is it due to NICE guidance etc that states that only Clinical/Educational Psychologist or Psychiatrist can make an Autism diagnosis. This I have felt has happened in most cases I'm aware of but don't know why from a guidance or legal basis this, though I do understand it from a clinical basis. urspecial

    Ha, ha!  how ironic is that! Embarassed No worries, us Aspies are up front and open.

    I believe it's the law that only a clinical psychologist or clinical psychiatrist can diagnose.
