Im new in here, my sons is 3 turns 4 in october
we saw the consultant peadiatrition today went through history concerns etc, she said she was reffering us to her counterpart as we had been reffered to her wrongly as she works the other side of the district.
she saw traits in my son and said he does need to go through the multi disaplinary assesment (though he isnt displaying the most common theres definatly need) she also stated he needs an adult all the time and one to one etc, so she has reffered us to the other peadiatric consultant for our half of the district, the biting point is there s two year wait, i dont know how we will cope for 2 years before the assesment starts
my boys, already had senco at day nursery coming in for a year, had been refused a place at a main stream school bursery until he is diagnosed or has a statement, he has no danger awareness etc, smacks himself, but in turn is very loving at times and very verbal
im confused and lost and extremely upset i dont know what to do
my son is also under a caf, and the communication and intigration team but we are all stuck
any help appreciated
it also doesnt help that we are stuck inside all holidays as he isnt allowed a special needs buggy as he is able bodied, yet runs into traffic all the time or meltdown and lays on the floor dead weight so we cant trust him to go a walk
