Aspergers, temperature changes, itching but no rash.

My son , 20, has Aspergers and has always had problems with feeling like his skin is being stabbed and itchy,  but no rash.  This leads to him feeling frustrated as he doesn’t want to do anything or go anywhere where the temperature might change,  and this leads to meltdowns and feeling suicidal as he feels his future will be full of this.  He wears shorts all year, but it’s the change in temperature from house, outside, class, workshop, walking, etc that causes the itching.

He is on lots of meds to reduce his sweating, anti histamines, (He has had bloods to show it’s not any allergies to anything) , he’s on anti depression meds and recently has been given diazepam to try to reduce the bodies reaction to changes in temperature so he can at least try to keep going to college, but he says it only helps a little, plus it’s a strong medication and will limit his career choices.  We have tried everything else and the Dr is now saying it’s anxiety induced itching, but no rash, however I think it’s the other way around.

any feedback please or advice would be amazing as he can’t see a future.

thank you.
