Autistic cookbook?

Does anyone know of an autistic cookbook? In a sort of "by autists, for autists" kind of way?

I'm looking for a book that also bears the sometimes percieved as unusual needs of autists in mind, such as entirely nutritionally balanced meals according to a single colour palette (just as an example), or nutritionally balanced meals according to general texture. It really feels like this is a kind of thing we autists could do with as we get older and need,  not just to meet our own health needs but also the needs of family members who may have autism (because supposedly it is genetic and we do have parents and our own children live with us too who may also be autistic.

  • It took me two days to click on this thread because I get so stressed out by food and cooking.  Before I got married, people always gave me backhanded compliments about how skinny I was.  I now know I was underweight because I struggled so much with food.

I need this book and I do I can find things in it that work for me.  I've looked at the preview and there is a lot of info at the beginning about accessibility and acceptance and I like the author's way of thinking.

Cooking shouldn’t be stressful, hopefully this book will make the process easier and more enjoyable because you can cook in a way that suits your autistic needs. Every recipe is categorised in terms of the energy required and can be altered to suit your own sensory profile.

I am sorry you struggled so much food and received unhelpful comments, that must have been difficult. Hopefully you can begin to enjoy food again.

The book does seem pretty good, I hope you find it useful.
