Sling and mobility aids

I am autistic and have a condition called Ehlers Danlos, this means I have to use mobility aids . I struggle to wear with my sling currently as it is itchy , tight and scratchy . It causes me to get uncomfortable . What should I do ? Any suggestions?

If you know a good sewer maybe they can line the points that touch your skin with cotton or a soft jersey fabric? I have a soft cover for my X-ray thyroid shield because it irritates my neck, one of the nurses makes them for us
