Sounds like another conspiracy theory, up there with 'chem-trails' and MMR. Alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase is a naturally occurring human enzyme, it has a connection to how some cancer cells operate, but it normally functions in everyday cellular metabolism.
Any MMR connection to autism is totally and irrefutably exploded. I knew one of the former PhD students of Andrew Wakefield and he refused to let his name be added to the authors of the original 'Lancet' paper, he was so unhappy with the results and interpretation AT THE TIME. This was before any controversy had erupted. Of course, Wakefield was subsequently struck off and could not practice medicine and 'Lancet' retracted his paper. This is all anyone needs to know in order to understand that Wakefield's claims were delusory and very damaging.
