  • Hi

The best advice I can give is to give yourself time.  Even when the diagnosis is expected it can still be hard to hear it made real.  Having a formal diagnosis will make life easier in a lot of ways as it opens up a whole range of help.  Your daughter will benefit hugely from this.  Take each day as it comes.  Try not to think too far ahead else you'll drive yourself crazy.  I had to learn that one when my son was diagnosed. Trust in yourself because you obviously know your daughter the best.

    Hope that helps.
