GP appointment made and a little unsure

Hi . This is my first post here so please be kind .

I am starting to think that some of my 9 year olds quirks might be more than just quirks and are starting to become problems . after lots of research I am starting to think he may have aspergers the more i think about it the more it fits .

I have made a drs appointment but i have no idea what to say to the dr , I am worried I am going to get the brush off . should I make a list of all the things I want to mention or will that just look too much . I just want my concerns to be taken seriously any advise would be very gratefully recieved .

Parents
  • How about some monitoring from the teachers at school and school psychologist observations, that is how they discovered my son had autism. Basically language difficults and excelling in specialist areas if shown what to do, but turned into obsessions. A genius little boy with a kind heart, but confused at times in social environment ie freezing up until cued. I also later discovered I had Aspergers as well... it runs in family genetics,, but in the correct field it is a blessing aka science.
